Song Dong and Sui Jianguo's Works are now Participating in Gravity Museum of Art's Exhibition "The Signifying Objects". "The Signifying Objects" goes beyond a retrospective of the history of readymade art. Grounded in the contemporary context, the exhibition takes everyday objects as a point of departure, bridging art-historical narratives with lived experiences rooted in local contexts. It extends the discussion to the present, as digital technologies, the internet, and artificial intelligence continue to reshape our everyday experiences, inviting a renewed consideration of the relationship between human beings and the material world. Through the most ordinary and familiar objects, the exhibition encourages visitors to pay renewed attention to everyday experiences that are often taken for granted, rediscovering the memories, emotions, labour, and time embedded in objects, while re-establishing perceptual connections between people and the world around them.
