Ma Qiusha's works Wonderland-Eros No. 8 and Wonderland-Square 1 are currently on view in the group exhibition "Threads of Kinship," co-organized by He Art Museum and KADIST. "Threads of Kinship" takes the Pearl River Delta's deep-rooted textile tradition as a point of departure, exploring the multiple meanings of "kinship" in contemporary society through diverse media such as weaving, fibers, materials, and memory—extending from blood ties to community, regional, and even cross-cultural connections. As the second stop following the inaugural exhibition at KADIST Paris, this presentation in Shunde continues the academic framework established in Paris, deepening the curatorial dialogue between the two institutions while integrating the local cultural context of Lingnan. Through a renewed narrative, the exhibition activates a deeper dialogue between the works and the region's local history.
