Ma Qiusha is participating the OCAT group exhibition Remapping Reality— Selected Video Collection from Wang Bing

OCAT Shanghai presents "repeating reality - a collection of images from Wang Bing" on March 23 solstice on June 16, which is the first exhibition to focus on the important collection of the new generation of Chinese video art in the "post-olympic era" of contemporary art collector wang bing. As the theme of the exhibition, "Remapping the Reality" aims to reiterate the meaning of the life world on the one hand. By analyzing the generalized media experience accumulated by the new generation of Chinese video art practice, it explains the discourse context and historical source of Chinese issues in the practical experience. On the other hand, at a time when the world is immersed in chaos and conflict, the purpose of "repeating reality" is also to remind us from the perspective of the future of the "reconstruction project" that we have to face at the juncture of historical transition.

Ma Qiusha exhibited her video work from Pingyuanli No. 4 to Tianqiao North Li No. 4 (2007) in this exhibition. Her work presents herself with razor blades while talking about parents' love for in their growth experience. These brought about the complex emotions, until after finished his mouth is full of blood - seems like a very personal story, actually alluding to the majority of the Chinese mainland after 80 generation of only children collective experience, as well as the political and economic changes in the concrete embodiment of family life.
