Wang Luyan will participate in a large-scale research exhibition, "Factories, Machines and the Poet's Words: Echoes of the Realities in Art", which will focus on the process of socialist industrialization since the founding of new China.


The process of socialist industrialization since the founding of new China is one of the practice of global modernization in 20th century, which has shaped the appearance and trend of Contemporary Chinese society for a long time. However, although the industrialization process of new China cannot be separated from the conditions of the whole world, it has formed a more complex dynamic logic internally due to different values and needs. At the same time, the process of Chinese modern and contemporary art has always been closely linked with the historical changes of the society. The relationship between reality and art is a core proposition in the history of Chinese art in the 20th century. The field of art has always maintained a close dialogue with the overall ideology of the society, and as a producer in the field of creation, has become a part of social productivity and the real landscape.


On the one hand, this exhibition will take the social process of China from 1949 to now as a modern scene. Through the thinking and creation of artists, it will show the historical picture of the development of socialist industrialization as well as its internal power and texture. On the other hand, from the perspective of culture, the exploratory practice in the dynamic process of socialist industrialization will be regarded as the object of thinking and creation. Exhibition will by rendering created in different historical period and cultural context of the creation and discusses the creation and deals with construction, manufacturing, machine working, transformation, practice and experiment, and order and other related concepts and experience, to explore and contemporary actors in the history of their own field of vision, and in the global world coordinates.
