Hu Xiaoyuan participated in the Aranya Art Center group exhibition "Long Day"

2019. 10. 18-2020. 04. 05

Hu Xiaoyuan is participating in "Long Day", an exhibition co-sponsored by Anaya Art Center and Danxiang Space and curated by Taikang Space. Eleven young artists who are active in the contemporary art world are invited to present their relative perceptions and personal experience of daily life and time from the perspective of visual art through various media.

"Long Day" displays Hu Xiaoyuan's four-channels video work Seamless Distance (2010). The work is based on the artist's reflections on the similarities and anomalies (often permanent) between "past", "present" and "after". For six minutes, Hu used two cameras to zoom in on the movements of her eyes and the objects seen by the institute. During the shooting, she emphasized the simplicity and boredom of vision, making each image almost like a still image, but actually changing very slightly all the time.
