Song Dong's work "Eating the City" is happening at a mall atrium in Suzhou. The project is organized by the Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art as a part of its long term program "The Productivity of Space". "Eating the City" is a series of miniature edible cities which, since 2003, Song has built in multiple cosmopolitan locations around the world like Beijing, Shanghai, Barcelona, and London. For Song, the work “connects the people inside it, making them part of the artwork itself.”
