Yang Xinguang’s solo project, "OUTSKIRTS," runs through 29 Dec 2023 at Cai Jin Space, Beijing. Deriving from his work Wilderness commissioned by the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju, South Korea in 2020, the project delves into the suburbs’ unique ecological environment and its imprints on the human mind. Through developing an intimate relationship with plants in his artmaking, Yang resurfaces the role of nature as the media for human expression.
