Yang Xinguang's resident exhibition "Kneading Soil" which organized by Nanshan Society has opened in Xi 'an at 7pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 and will run until June 24, 2019. Yang Xinguang often works on natural materials such as vegetation, earth and stone. These materials are often habitually link with  "traditional Chinese literati". However, Yang Xinguang is not simply takes the  meaning of "traditional" spiritualized material or indulge in "traditional". On the contrary, he interested in the natural materials' contemporary identities as a kind of classic emotional patterns "traditional" defamiliarization, and resetting the ego's relationship with the world.
