Shang Yixin's installation works are presenting in the third new fiber art exhibition which is co-sponsored by Big-Roofing Art Museum and China Academy of Fine Arts. The exhibition opened on March 31 and will run until June 4, 2019. This exhibition presents the artistic works of 22 participating artists in the form of fiber art, multimedia image, mechanical device and other creative forms, giving the audience a new immersive interactive exhibition experience.

Shang Yixin's installation works named "--": a set of flashlights is "looking" at a string from distance. The flashlights at different angles are "looking" back and forth over a certain distance, chopping up the shadow of the string and casting it in parallel onto the wall behind the line. The light spot and the shadow of being cut are repeatedly overlapping, separating and interweaving on the wall. The change of light and shadow between the moving light source and the stationary line releases uncertainty and changing state.
