Ma Qiusha is attending the Shimmer Space group exhibition "Higher! Who! The Lower and Lower. Louder! Louder! Softer and Softer". This exhibition was Shimmer's first attempt to change the way works are displayed over time, by curating individual works to change the show's rhythm. Shimmer conceived this exhibition as a choreographed score that overlaps the artwork and crosses ideas and generations by changing rhythms, scales and movements. Its exhibition forms unfold over time, opening and crossing the boundaries of concept, space and time.

Shimmer Space believes that we are entering an era of environmental, global, and mechanical change in which we need to practice all knowledge and cross paths. What people mean to each other, and how they gather and share, has changed completely. With this in mind, Shimmer curated the exhibition for "Thinking about the past to shape the future and better adapt to our present." Not limited to a history, a practice, an idea, a particular category of audience, but given as much space as possible for people to align themselves with the work of art and with each other.

Ma Qiusha's presented her work from Pingyuanli No. 4 to Tianqiao North No. 4. in this exhibition. With a razor blades in her mouth while talking about her parents' love brought complex emotions. Her mouth is full of blood when she finished her conversation - this seems like a very personal story, but it actually alludes to the majority children collective experience of the Chinese mainland after 80 generation, as well as the political and economic changes in the concrete embodiment of family life.
